The chair Luna

 

Japan is one of the most fascinating places in the world according to Scharff. He has traveled there several times and especially one time, when he was invited by "Green Santa Foundation" to design and craft a chair in collaboration with local cabinetmakers. That recidency plays a significant role in his relation to the country and the fascinating Japanese tradition of craft. 

 

The result was the Luna chair, above, the means to the end was a long journey.
